PSAR Global Council of Real Estate

Our world is getting smaller, and San Diego is becoming more attractive as a global destination on the international stage

As another added benefit to PSAR members seeking a competitive business advantage, PSAR is proud to announce the formation of the PSAR Global Real Estate Council. The PSAR established the Global Real Estate Council as part of PSAR's strategy to build professionalism and expertise among REALTORS® in San Diego.

The purpose of the new Global Real Estate Council is to assist the needs of PSAR members who desire to expand their international reach. The mission of the Council will be to provide PSAR members with the opportunity to learn and expand their niche market in real estate internationally. The vision of the Council will be to provide and facilitate educational opportunities to enable PSAR members expand their practice and organize global-themed events through various mechanisms.


Many PSAR members are currently serving international capital investment clients, while many others want to enhance their cross-border capabilities and assist savvy clients make informed transaction decisions to expand their real estate portfolios with efficient counsel across multiple jurisdictions.


Also, the Council has been actively involved in promoting the Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), an NAR designation that provides REALTORS® with the knowledge, a worldwide network and tools to globalize their business. CIPS members are the consumers' best and most trusted resource for navigating the international market.

PSAR graduated its first CIPS class in 2015 with Nationally Recognized Instructor Furhad Waquad 

PSAR hosted a successful Discover Global Event, NAR’s Global Programs & President’s Liaison Forum moderated by Shonee Henry, NAR Regional Coordinator for Asia Pacific & Middle East. The event included a live panel with seven NAR President's Liaisons who discussed real estate opportunities in their assigned counties, as well as their experiences as volunteers and tips on the global market. — with Denise Matthis, Tina Balch, Dianne Rath, Shonee Henry, PSAR President Carey Guthrie, Gigi Lee, Yin Bihr, Kelvin Wong Broker and Richard D'Asoli.
