Step 1. Join PSAR as a Student Member. Attend marketing sessions, meet other Realtors, find out which Brokers you would like to interview with. PSAR can refer you to our roster. As a student member, you can learn about the tools available and take basic courses. Subscribe to our email list by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and put this in the header "Please subscribe me for your email distribution"
Step 2. Check with the California Bureau of Real Estate to find out the basic requirements for licensing. Begin the process.

To obtain a real estate salesperson license, you must first qualify for and pass a written examination.This license is required of individuals who conduct licensed real estate activities under the supervision of a licensed broker. A license may also be obtained by a person who does not immediately intend to be employed by a broker. However, a salesperson without an employing broker may not perform acts requiring a real estate license.
