Volunteer, Join a Board or Commission

Decisions in Local Governments are made by the elected officials.  The policy and ordinances are formulated by the local government’s staff with input from the City’s Boards and Commissions.

These appointments are important and influential.  As a REALTOR® you can provide a unique perspective that can help local government formulate effective policy.

Different Boards and Commissions require different levels of experience.  There is always something for volunteers with every level of experience.  After some experience in an entry level Board, Commission or Committee, a volunteer receives the preparation required to move in to more responsible positions.
