The Pacific Southwest Association of REALTORS® (PSAR) and the North San Diego County Association of REALTORS® (NSDCAR) are proud to announce that a significant new member benefit is now available to members of both Associations. A shared services agreement has been signed between the two REALTOR® Associations.

Under terms of the agreement, access to many services, resources, and discounts offered by either Association will now be available to both PSAR and NSDCAR members irrespective of with which association they have their primary membership. The goal of the agreement is to provide advocacy for homeowners and top-notch countywide service to members, as well as to help maintain the industry’s long-standing commitment to REALTORS® and the clients they serve.

Shared services will include Sandicor Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and service center support with retail discounts on store items and lockbox equipment and services. Also included will be educational training, advocacy and other resources. The shared services agreement is an expansion of a relationship between the two Associations that has been in effect since 2013, when arbitration and mediation services became available through a joint program.

In addition, members of both Associations will benefit from services provided at any of each Association’s Service Centers. NSDCAR operates Service Centers in Vista, Carmel Valley, Carlsbad, Escondido and Fallbrook. PSAR operates Service Centers in Chula Vista and El Cajon.

Anthony Andaya, 2016 PSAR President, said, “This is an immediate benefit to members of both Associations. It means more value, easier access to great service, and more coverage for all our members all at the same low cost. In addition, many REALTORS® are now practicing business countywide. So, this agreement will help to ensure they get what they need when they need it, especially when they are out in the field.”

Raylene Brundage, 2016 NSDCAR President, said, “This agreement will support members who do business anywhere in San Diego County. Members from both Associations will be welcomed to attend marketing sessions that promote listings and match buyers and sellers throughout the county. Also, if there is a class or event being hosted, then members from either Association will benefit from member pricing.”

According to officials with both PSAR and NSDCAR, both Associations will continue to operate independently. NSDCAR has 4,800 members, PSAR has more than 2,500 members.

Also, the two Associations will continue to look for additional opportunities to collaborate and provide local support for members who operate businesses that are focused on local communities. As the associations continue to prepare for the future, look for more local support and innovation. PSAR and NSDCAR are focused on the core businesses that make Associations valuable to their members. Look for more to come in the near future.
