The San Diego Press Club has recognized PSAR with a writing award for PSAR’s series of member profile stories that appear every Saturday in the “411 REALTOR®” e-newsletter.

The profile stories, written by PSAR PR consultant Rick Griffin, feature amusing and little-known anecdotes about PSAR members, both REALTORS® and associates. These member profile stories have generated higher readership for the weekly email, as well as closer bonds among PSAR colleagues. In fact, a frequent response to the stories among PSAR members who have worked together for years is, “I didn’t know that about you.”

PSAR was honored at the Press Club’s recent “Excellence in Journalism” awards program on Oct. 25. The award was presented in the “Trade Publication” category.

It’s the second time PSAR’s series of member profile stories have received a writing award from the San Diego Press Club. The previous time was in 2014.

The Press Club’s writing competition is judged by reporters and editors in other major U.S. cities. The San Diego Press Club's writing awards program is among the largest regional competitions in the U.S. The competition has drawn the third-largest number of entries for press clubs in the U.S., after the National Press Club in Washington and the Denver Press Club.
