Rep. Susan Davis (D-San Diego) met today with REALTOR® Party Members to discuss issues important to REALTORS®. The conversation was presented by members of the National Associations of REALTORS.
In addition to affordability issues and property protection rights, other topics discussed at the meeting included: Retention of Section 1031 Like-Kind Exchanges; Opposition to the U.S. Senate’s version of transportation-related legislation that would create a new tax on mortgages to pay for transportation infrastructure; Support of patent legislation reform that would protect businesses from frivolous lawsuits; Congressional action against placing bodies of waters, including small streams and isolated wetlands, under the jurisdiction of the federal government. Moderator was Ann Throckmorton, a National Association of REALTORS® Federal Political Coordinator.
Davis represents the 53rd District, which includes La Mesa, Lemon Grove, Spring Valley and parts of San Diego, El Cajon and Chula Vista.
